This page is made to document the
conversion of the El Camino to
Throttle Body Injection.

Starting in December of 2004, because the car failed emissions testing. Even though it passed on the previous tests, the fuel needs tighter controls to comply with the standards (standards that have been lowered to try & get the old iron off the roads). I drive the car every day, therefore, I can't get Antique, or show plates. If I had those plates, it would make it exempt, as far as testing is concerned. It would have to be 1967 or older, to be old enough for exemption.

The conversion was a success, and I passed emissions. There are electronic issues cropping up from time to time. See the "New Additions" page to find out more.
