This driver hit the wall in the "Kink" a very high speed section of the course, bounced off the wall, and went in to the tire barrier on the opposite side of the track. The Driver climbed out as we were watching it on the monitor in the main building. We saw the accident as it happened on the monitors. They had to pull the car off the tires to get the passenger out. Thy both got minor burns from the air bag deployment. The passenger held out his arms in anticipation, and was taken to the hospital to look at his wrist because it was apparently sprained. Also from the air bag. We are very happy that they walked away from this. These drivers were in Group 2, and not as fast as out group was, just a few laps earlier.

We were in the main building during this crash, and watched it in real time on the monitors.
The safety crew and the staff at Road America are very, very good!
